WLC Reviews Delhi Traffic Situation

Hi All !

South Delhi has been suffering from the side effects of development. Ashram flyover area which connects the choker blocked Ring Road with DND Flyway has been undergoing repair work. Thereby causing motorists to experience chaos.

PWD has closed off a segment of the road on Sarai Kale Khan for the repairs. A senior traffic police officer stated - To avoid congestion, motorists coming from Andrews Ganj Chowk should take a left turn to on Bhisham Pitamah Marg under the Lodhi flyover and enter the Barapullah corridor for reaching Sarai Kale Khan. For motorists coming from Moolchand, their advice is to take a left on Ring Road and get on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and use the Nizamudin entry to Barapullah.

According to WLC Review on Barapullah, it is even more jam packed.

WLC Reviews on Teachers Day by Modi Sir

Hi All !

I haven't had a chance to listen to the speech made by our PM, Mr. Narendra Modi. But, given all the speculation that surrounds it, I read up on the articles.

Review of WLC CollegeSome people are criticizing his speech as being a sheer publicity stunt. They claim is content spoke more to the students rather than in favor of the teachers and have categorized it as a Children's Day Speech. He has appeared to have spoken about the profession of teaching and how we should encourage students to grow up to be Indian teachers employed abroad.

That really does not make any sense to me. Also, I had read that during the QnA section of the evening, our PM did not quite understand the questions. Strange but all these have got me intrigued and doubting our Prime Minister.

WLCI Reviews Delhi Night Shelters

Hi All !

Delhi High Court has ordered Delhi Urban Shelters Improvement Board on Wednesday to construct more than 180 night shelters for the homeless. This initiative would be seen taking effect all across the national capital region.

With rains pouring heavily these days and winter months fast approaching, WLCI commends this decision and supports the cause. Delhi needs to improve the situation of the homeless and poor in order to grow as a nation !

WLC Reports on delayed Metro Blue Line

Hi All !

Report of WLC CollegeWe all felt the traffic this morning on our way to school, college and work. Well WLC feels the major reason was the delayed operation of Delhi Metro. The Blue line which connects Dwarka to Noida, was affected for a little more than an hour in the morning. Trouble started at around 830am on this densely populated track.

Delhi metro officials have accounted the problem on over head electrical wire faults. As a result of this lag, the metro's were stopping at each station for 10 minutes causing further delays to commuters.

Thank god it wasn't a Monday else it would have been a bad start to the week !

WLCI Reviews on Ebola Virus in India

Hi All !

Unfortunately, it has been reported that there are at least 6 suspects carrying the Ebola Virus in India. However, since proper regulation to restrict the spread of this epidemic had been initiated in the beginning of August, the official have the situation under control.

Yesterday, the suspected patients were admitted into the special quarantine facility constructed at the Delhi airport. I must say the way the health ministry is tackling such an extreme threat is remarkable. Such calmness all in order to maintain peace in the nation !

WLCI Reports on Independence Day

Reviews of WLCI College

Happy Independence Day to all !

You all might have experienced on road the full effect of the day. From traffic jams to tri-colored decorations, the authorities in Delhi are not holding back in ensuring the beauty as well as safety for the nation's capital region.

At this time WLCI requests you to have some patience, as the cops are just trying to do their job. Remember when you'll be flying kites or eating samosa's with your near and dear one's, they will be out there on streets ensuring our safety.

The officials have issued a notice stating - Given the full dress rehearsal that is to happen on the 14th of August, commuters are advised to stay off the road - Bus, Car or Auto and use the Metro instead. WLCI requests you to adhere to the request of the noble officers who are working even on a National Holiday.

WLCI Admissions News

Hi All !

WLCI College Admissions NewsTurns out Delhi University is getting a bit more relaxed when it comes admissions. For the first time ever, DU has incorporated a column for the third gender in our society !

This is for now applicable in the post graduate forms, but I hope they incorporate it in all. The Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender community (LGBT) is rejoicing stating their feeling that this a positive move towards a more equal nation !

Everyone is unique but that should not allow us to discriminate against them. They breathe the same air we do, why can't they sit with us and have the same rights ? It's the narrow minded population that is slowly corroding our nation. WLCI strongly feels that eradicating silent villains of our society is vital !

Is WLCI solving Delhi Problem

Hi All !

Indeed ! WLCI is going to join the efforts of a young girl to fight the problem of water shortage in Delhi.

WLC College FeedbackPrakriti Singh is a 16 Year who has her heart set on purifying drinking water. What jolted this initiative was the MCD report stating that 70% of the water supplied in the nation's capital, is not fit for drinking purpose.

She has proclaimed the title of "Water Ambassador" for herself and has taken the notion at large by appointing individuals to perform the task of ensuring that drinking water is not contaminated in schools throughout Delhi.

She was asked in an interview what provoked her, her response was - " After my grandfather died of Jaundice and certain reports about contamination of water in Delhi, I toured interiors of Bihar studying water scarcity and contamination issue. But it wasn't practically feasible for me to work in those area, hence I decided to start with Delhi but I plan to take it to other states as well. "

The Secretary for the Department of Personnel and Training spoke about the establishment's necessity :-

" Civil servants have to function in a complex and challenging environment today when there are increasing expectations of performance and ability to respond more efficiently and effectively to the needs of the citizens. Keeping this in mind it becomes imperative that all levels of civil service be trained in leadership skills to impart their duties effectively and take forward the vision of a citizen centric government "
