WLC is happy to announce that the Dubai based airline - Fly Dubai, are starting flights to Mumbai. The carrier currently operates to 7 cities with close to 25 flights per week. However, come end of October, there would be 5 flights per week to Mumbai !

Commenting on the announcement, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer, flydubai, said, “India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have enjoyed close historic relations and have been dynamic trade partners. We are excited to contribute further to additional growth in the travel and trade segments with the launch of our flights to Mumbai. We remain committed to serving the market with affordable and reliable travel options.”

By adding these flights to Mumbai, the airline has built up a network with 37 Countries and 76 Destinations !

Feedback of WLCI on Eid Celebration

Hi All !

Eid Mubarak !

29th July 2014 is the day for Eid-ul-Fitr. This eid marks the end of the Ramadan for the Muslim community. During Ramadan, Muslims fast for a period of 29-30 days. They abstain from food, liquid and any sort of entertainment from sunrise to sunset during this month.

They pray 5 times a day and make every effort to be more spiritual. They truly deserve recognition and celebration on this day of Eid !

WLC Delhi Reviews - Progress

Hi All !

Yesterday the members of BJP party launched an App, aimed at connecting the citizens of Delhi with their MP's. They can also register complaints and feedback to raise awareness of their issues.

The Constituency Connect App would also feature information on the MP's and their contributions to the society.

BJP's General Secretary claims that this initiative would yield in Transparency in the governance and make the MP's accountable to the public.

WLCI Reviews Amazon in India

Hi All !

The international e-commerce giant - Amazon, currently operates from 2 Fulfillment Centers in India at Bangalore & Mumbai. They aim at growing larger and hence have established a plan of opening 5 more centers.

• Tauru (Outskirt area of Gurgaon)

Their Chennai center has commenced operations, the others shall start their operations by end of August !

Strike Call off Review by WLCI

Hi All !

So it turns out half a day was enough to shake up the officials. The representatives of Delhi Autorickshaw Sangh called off their strike at around 1pm on Monday. 

The General Secretary said, " We decided to call off our one-day strike midway after senior traffic police officials assured us that traffic cops would not prevent drivers from taking passengers from Railway stations and Metro stations. They have also assured that traffic cops will not challan drivers by posing as passengers. " 

All's well that end's well I suppose !

Auto Rickshaw Strike - WLCI Reviews

Hi All !

Due to corruption witnessed in micro level by Auto wallah's they have gone on strike today !

The Auto Rickshaw Sangh constitutes of more than 80,000 Rickshaw wallah's. The General Secretary claimed on sunday that :-

"Traffic cops sit in civil dress in our auto and ask for bribe. When we refuse, they seize our vehicles or impose heavy fines on drivers. We have also taken up the matter with Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Joint CP (traffic) Anil Shukla, but nobody has paid any heed to our demand. Auto drivers now don't have any option but to go on strike. We are not allowed to take passengers from Railway stations and Metro stations unless we pay a fixed amount to them."

This is really unfair and their strike is more than justified in my books !

Is WLCI expecting Rain

Hi All !

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Light rains is expected in certain parts of Delhi.

Yesterday was unbearably hot and humid ! With maximum temperature set at 37.4, Monday is assumed to be better. The temperature are expected to hover between 26 - 36 Degree Celsius. Officials had the following to say :- 

" The skies will be cloudy. Light rain is expected in some parts of the city. "

I just hope I am greeted with the blessing of Rain !

Delhi Metro Fare - Review by WLC

Hi All !

Off late Delhi Metro Authority had raised the minimum amount that could be topped up on the smart card using the vending machine. But now they have dropped down to their original value of Rs 100. Although the top up service using customer care centre still remains the hiked amount f Rs 200.

The statement issued by the authority justifying the hike was :-

" As most of Delhi Metro's smart card users today are regular travellers, and with the opening of the Rapid Metro and more corridors of Phase 3, the maximum fare required for travel will increase as the commuters would cover more distance. Therefore, increasing the minimum add value of the cards will help commuters as they won't have to stand in queue and recharge their cards time and again. "

Whatever be the reason, a drastic change of doubling the amount is unreasonable !

I just read this report on the model followed by Honda to launch their latest product - Mobilio. Earlier this year, they gave us a sneak preview at the Auto Expo held in February at Greater Noida. This multi purpose vehicle was expected to be priced between 6.5 - 8.5 lakh Rupees.

A cunning strategy by the people at Honda as it is especially designed for the Indian Market. Hence, the price and features were based on comprehensive research and customer feedback. 

The vehicle seats 7 occupants comfortably through the 3 rows. Its styling favors the sporty look measuring at 4,390 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, 1,610 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

The booking for this is now open at a token amount of Rs. 50,000. 

It definitely will steal the show in the market ! Kudos !

Is WLC Delhi good

Oh Yes !

Hi All !

WLC Delhi is the best and superior to the others.

Its not just WLC that feels that, but Officials who are travelling to witness the commonwealth games being held in Glasgow also feel the same. It turns out that the "Athlete Village" is inferior to the one created in India.

We were criticized on the lack of hygiene and poor facilities. Glasgow is worse !

As the players will have to share washrooms whereas in Delhi, each member was provided rooms with attached bathrooms. That's point 1 for us Indians !

The gym facilities are too cramped up and lack sufficient space unlike the one's that were arranged for players training at Delhi. Another point for us Indians.

Moreover, Glasgow organizers fell short of providing players with Television sets ! It turns out they are hosting a campus event as each block has 1 TV set. 

Coming down to food, they lack variety whereas we had offered them a whole range of items to choose from. 

We Indians had hosted the event 4 years ago and still were far superior to the arrangements led on by Glasgow !

Kudos .. What do you say to that haters ?

WLC Learning Campus Review

It turns out that yesterday, the Government of India launched world class learning Resource Center for training the bureaucrats. This initiative has been established to ensure a more citizen centric governance in the nation.

The Secretary for the Department of Personnel and Training spoke about the establishment's necessity :-

" Civil servants have to function in a complex and challenging environment today when there are increasing expectations of performance and ability to respond more efficiently and effectively to the needs of the citizens. Keeping this in mind it becomes imperative that all levels of civil service be trained in leadership skills to impart their duties effectively and take forward the vision of a citizen centric government "

How WLC gets relief

Hi All !

What a day it was yesterday !

Crazy rain all across Delhi. What a relief WLC must say. It was so humid and torturous the past few days.

But then yesterday, the god's did not stop the shower even for 5 minutes. Me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed getting drenched and soaked. Followed by a session of Tea and Samosa's.

Truly a day to remember.

The maximum temperature yesterday was recorded at 3 values below the average. Average temperature in Delhi for the past few days was about 37 Degree Celsius.

Officials say that more rain is expected over the weekend. Certainly looking forward to it.

It is popularly known as the brand equivalent to Apple and hence is fondly regarded as the "Apple of China". Partnering with the e commerce giant Flipkart, they have released the model Mi3 in India. They aim at launching 2 more devices.

Immense competition has risen in the mobile industry with both domestic and international players in the game !

How WLC offers Safety to Women

Hi All !

Come Raksha Bandhan, Delhi will be exposed to the Mahila Suraksha Dal. A gang of superheroes deployed by the Delhi Government to ensure Women Security.

Not only would they ensure safety for women, but also aid those who have faced assault. This group would primarily comprise of Retired Army Personnel's along with representatives from the community, both - men and women.

Kudos to the initiative !

Is WLCI offers multi level parking

Hi All !

Soon enough YES ! 

With the increased numbers of car users in New Delhi, the government wishes to make multi level parking units mandatory. This is in lieu of eliminating roadside parking that is far too plausible in the capital.

Kudos to the cause as not only would it clean up the environment, as said by the officials in the WJO Report. But, also get rid of the mafia of Parking wallah's.

I guess this initiative should be encouraged at a greater scale.

Yes, WLC offers Happiness Program !

What a beautiful world we are living in, the Art of Living Foundation has decided to launch a Happiness Program in Tihar Jail. They aim at transforming the lives and behavior of inmates.

They have acquired a Guru and have decided to collect individuals from all of the jails under one roof in our city. The concept is to get rid of all negative emotions and mental stress. WLC do believes that this effort might improve their mind set and eliminate violence and criminal activities.

This is for sure that the continuous efforts made my the authority to ensure and enable righteousness among the prisoners could lead to a better tomorrow.

Oh Yes Indeed ! WLCI offers Rains !!


Come Sunday Delhi-ites rejoiced in what can only be defined as God's mercy. After days & days of scorching heat, we were showered with blessing from the rain lords.

Officials say that Delhi recorded 25.6 Mili-meter of rainfall yesterday, that is the 13th of July. The temperature dropped down a pleasing level of 27 Degree Celsius. 

The weather did not give away the surprise it had in stock for us. The dust storm that made way for the thunder shower was scary though. Me and some friends were caught in the rain and loved getting drenched in the bliss of relief.

WLC Reviews Mango Festival

Hi All !

On a lighter note, WLC Reviews Delhi's Mango Festival.

It begins on 11th of July 2014 at Dilli Haat situated in Pitampura. The festival is being organized by the Delhi Tourism department and is open to Public from 12 noon to 9pm. 

Cultivators of Mango from all corners of North India are expected to come and show off their produce.

According to a press release made by the organizers, one can expect display and sale of common and rare varieties of Mango. Along with this visitors can also participate in competitions which include the likes of - Mango Eating and Quiz on Mangoes. For entertainment one can expect Magic Shows and a host of Cultural Programs.

WLC pays tribute to Zohra

Hi All !

Today, WLC wishes to pay a tribute to the old lady of Bollywood - Zohra Sehgal.

This veteran actor devoted 72 Years of her life to entertain the public. She had started her career as a dancer and moved onto establish her own dance academy.

Zohra was attracted to the stage of theater, following the footsteps of her elder sister back in the year 1945. For the next 14 years she toured across India showcasing her talent on stage. In the year 1962 she went to London to pursue higher education on a Drama Scholarship.

In London she joined the Merchant Ivory Production House and paved her way to recognition. 

She returned to India in the mid 90's and took over the Indian Cinema and Television by storm !

She truly defines the quote - "You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream !"

Zohra lived life to the fullest and WLC wishes that she rests in peace.

Is WLC growing GDP

Hi All !

Well yes, that's what's expected by financial year end 2015 !

Sources report that by FY2015, WLC will be growing in terms of the Gross Domestic Product. The expected range of growth lies between 5.4 - 5.9 %. The Economic Survey reads -

"The growth slowdown in the last two years was broad based, affecting in particular the industry sector. Inflation too declined during this period, but continued to be above the comfort zone, owing primarily to the elevated level of food inflation"

It is expected that if the government takes the right decisions, then the growth rate could rise upto 7 - 8 % in the near future. Steps and measure with regards to improvement of governance and investment could lead to the mentioned rise.

Is WLC offers admissions

Hi All !

I was recently asked by a cousin in Bangalore that, "WLC  is the admissions still offered in Delhi ?" 

I was rejoiced to tell him that yes ! The cut off list came out and there is a drastic drop in the percentage required. The third list issued on Tuesday has shown lenience and allowed the dreams of 80 - 90% achievers to live on.

WLCI feels that Delhi is progressing as the government is making an active effort to reach to the youth. The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises has joined popular social sites - Facebook & Twitter.

The Union Minister, Mr. Kalraj Mishra is living up to his name ! WLC feels that if this initiative is taken up by all the ministries, then the transparency between the governing authority and the public would surface. Hence, enabling an upward progress trend.

Their social platform would be posting job announcements and other such information. They would also be inviting feedback from the public.

Delhi Metro has now taken the initiative to incorporate 3 additional solar roof top power plants ! The shall be set up at :-

• Anand Vihar ISBT
• Pragati Maidan
• Pushp Vihar

That is superb news !

The production will commence in the next 6 months, I really hope they live up to their promises. If it turns out to be a success they should take this scheme to all metro stations.

WLCI Complaints on Terrorism

Hi All !

I don't understand why there is so much hate in the world ?!

God made us all equal .. all he did was give us a brain and the ability to communicate. His view was to make us an intelligent being in a world of flora and fauna .. what went wrong is yet to be determined I suppose.

My friend is a pilot with SpiceJet and he shared his experience with me .. he witnessed a terrorist attack in Kabul ! Today I came across an article that left me feeling concerned for the people in the profession. Although no one got hurt on board, the flight was delayed by several hours.

What surprises me is that this incident has not resulted in dismissal of the services by the company ! I guess the ministry of Aviation needs to step in and take charge of the situation.

Petrol and Diesel rates were increased yesterday due to the crisis in Iraq !

Globalization takes it toll !!!

Petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 73.58 per litre, and Diesel will cost Rs 57.84 per litre.

WLCI Complaints on this as our income isn't increasing whilst the expenditure is sky rocketing !
